12:00am – 11:59pm
Confratute, now in its 37th year, will be held July 13-18, 2014 at the UConn Storrs campus. Confratute has earned the reputation as an outstanding summer institute on enrichment learning and teaching at the University of Connecticut and is sponsored by the Neag Center for Gifted Education and Talent Development and the Neag School of Education. A unique part of the Confratute concept is that our program is more than a summer course; it is careful blend of a Conference and an Institute, with a good deal of Fraternity in between. Confratute features over 50 strands, keynote presentations, special topic sessions, and cultural social events as well as evening enrichment activities. Confratute is attended by teachers of all grade levels, administrators, coordinators, and specialists of gifted education, school psychologists and counselors, staff development specialists, curriculum specialists, and parents of gifted learners. Confratute offers two fully accredited graduate courses that may be taken on an optional basis for 3 graduate credits. Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are also available for a full week of attendance. For more information, please visit the Confratute website at www.gifted.uconn.edu/confratute.
