Fast-Track to the MPA Program: Honors Event

Whether you are currently an Honors Student, thinking of becoming one, or not one yet, the Master of Public Administration (MPA) program in the Department of Public Policy at UConn welcomes you to join us on October 2, 2014 from 5:30-6:30.

The UConn Department of Public Policy has a unique program called the "Fast-Track to the MPA" program. This program allows motivated current UConn Undergraduate students -from any major- to "jump start" their MPA degree.

The MPA degree is a great fit for you if you are interested in obtaining your master’s in public administration and public policy degree. Graduates of the MPA program work in local, state, Federal Agencies and nonprofit organizations as Managers and Directors; Economic Policy Analysts; Public Financial Analysts; Budget and Resource Analysts, Survey Researchers; Town Managers; Community Program Directors; Educational Finance Analysts; Social Policy Researchers, Economic & Fiscal Analysts – an many more.

This presentation will focus on how you can “jump start” your graduate education while still an undergraduate. In some cases, students have been able to complete their Master’s degree in one additional year after the bachelors.

Valerie Rogers, the Department of Public Policy’s Administrative Program Director, will present the MPA curriculum, internship experiences, funding opportunities and discuss the easy process for submitting your application.
