Mr. Bailey is a reporter for the Connecticut Post. He wrote a series of articles on the rebirth of postindustrial urban landscapes. Read the articles compiled here:( Mr. Bailey traveled to Germany and across the US to see how cities are transforming their postindustrial brownfields into new land uses, such as parks. Mr. Bailey's research highlights the ways through which cities attempt to regain their sense of place. One particularly interesting area of his research focuses on the redevelopment of the Route 8 corridor from Bridgeport to Waterbury and Torrington as a way to breathe new life into postindustrial cities in Connecticut. Mr. Bailey is a UConn alumni who graduated with the class of 1999. You are welcome to hear Mr. Bailey speak about his work on the UConn Waterbury Campus. This event is FREE and open to the public!
