New and Noteworthy at the Center for Land Use Education and Research (CLEAR)
The UConn Center for Land Use Education and Research (CLEAR) is involved with a number of new projects that touch on all three of its program areas: Land Use and Climate Resiliency, Water Resources, and Geospatial Tools and Technology. After a brief overview of the Center, CLEAR Director Chet Arnold will describe these new projects, including the UConn Climate Corps, the "MS4" stormwater outreach program, and the new and improved CT ECO online mapping site. In addition, the Center now has a fourth program area to add to the list: natural resource-related STEM education for secondary school students and teachers. Chet will describe this new three-part program, all parts of which strive to connect students with their local natural resources and engage them in service learning projects in their communities.
Co-sponsored with the Environmental Studies Program.
