Target Audience: Faculty, staff, students, and trainees at the UConn Health

Learning Objectives: Participants will (be able to):

1. Identify appropriate screening tools and understand the important of facilitated referral to resources to address food insecurity.

2. Identify the relationship of food insecurity to management of chronic disease(s), specifically obesity, and diabetes, and the research base in support of this nexus.

3. Identify leading publicly available resources to mitigate food insecurity and recent policy initiatives in support of systems to mitigate this social determinant of illness.
