Family violence is a prevalent social issue that can affect the lives of its traumatized survivors. Dr. Antonia Cordero will present a case study to help seminar participants explore and understand the dynamics and patterns of generational family violence. Using a multi-dimensional, theoretical framework, Dr. Cordero will incorporate Attachment Theory, Historic Trauma, Ethnic-Sensitive, and Trauma-Informed Practice to examine the impact of family violence and related practice considerations.
This seminar will enable you to:
explore the dynamics and patterns of generational family violence gain an understanding of the resilience and strengths of family members affected by generational family violence discover social/cultural factors underpinning family violence and resilience understand practice considerations when working with family violence patterns and the individual needs of traumatized members
