Electronic orders in superoxygenated cuprates and nickelates

I will present a study of the electronic orders in three superoxygenated samples, La2CuO4+y, La1.94Sr0.06CuO4+y and Pr2NiO4+y using resonant x-ray scattering. Charge order has not been found for over a decade in the superoxygenated lanthanum cuprates though reported in most of other similar systems. The phase separation property of this system raises the difficulty in investigating charge order. This defense will present evidence for the existence of charge order in our La2CuO4+y sample. The La1.94Sr0.06CuO4+y shows no charge order, but a special structural tilt never reported before. The results for Pr2NiO4+y suggests nematicity related to charge order and structural tilts as reported in some recent reports.
