Aquaponic Growing

Saturday, April 21, 2018
2:00pm – 4:00pm

Bigelow Brook Farm, 335 Westford Rd Eastford, CT 06242

In an aquaponic garden, plants and fish are grown together in a recirculation ecosystem. Fish waste is naturally converted to plant nutrients creating a year-round sustainable agriculture system. This system does not require added chemical fertilizers, does not use artificial filters and minimizes water use. Rob will share his extensive knowledge of setting up and running an aquaponic garden to grow fresh vegetables, fruits, and herbs. He will also describe how he built his geodesic dome greenhouse.
