Women's Herstory Month Opening - Honoring Women Who Fight All Forms of Discrimination Against Women

Join us for an evening with Linda Sarsour, racial justice and civil rights activist and one of the four co-organizers of the January 21, 2017, Women’s March on Washington. . Sarsour has received numerous awards and honors including “Champion of Change” by the White House, YWCA USA’s Women of Distinction Award for Advocacy and Civic Engagement, and the Hala Maksoud Leadership Award from the American Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee. Sarsour was named among 500 of the most influential Muslims in the world.

This event is open to the University community and will require a valid UConn ID.

Co-sponsored with the Office for Diversity and Inclusion, Women’s, Gender and Sexualities Studies, the Dodd Center, the Humanities Institute and the Human Rights Institute.
