Survey of transportation use at the Stamford Campus

You are invited to participate in a survey of transportation usage. Students studying at the University of Connecticut will administer the survey. The students are fulfilling a research requirement for a course that is an introduction to how public policy organizations identify and make recommendations to address transportation issues. During the 2-week period Feb 26 to March 9, students will be in the Concourse of the Stamford Campus building to answer questions about the survey. Why is this Study Being Done? The motivation for the study is to (1) identify usage of transportation nodes and access where future improvements that improve efficiency and are cost effective and (2) to identify effects of U-Pass (introduced in Fall 2017) on usage of transportation nodes.

Whom do I contact if I have questions about the study? If you have any questions you have about this you may contact Prof. Oskar Harmon, at harmon@uconn.edu. If you have any questions about your rights as a research participant, you may contact the University of Connecticut Institutional Review Board (IRB) at (860) 486-8802. An IRB is a group of people that reviews research studies to make sure they are safe for participants.

Documentation of Consent: The first question in the initial survey asks if you agree to participate in the research study. Your response to this question indicates that you have read the "Statement of Informed Consent" regarding participation in this research study; that the general purposes, the particulars of involvement and possible risks and inconveniences of the research study have been explained to your satisfaction; and, that you understand you can withdraw your consent at any time.
