“Daily Dilemmas in Dermatology”

Speaker: Peter Heald, MD – Assistant Clinical Professor, UConn Dermatology Date: Wednesday, December 5, 2018 Time: Lecture: 8am – 9:30am, Patient viewing: 9:30am - 12pm Location: University of Connecticut Health Center, Dermatology Department, 21 South Road, 2nd Floor, Conference Room

Target Audience: UCHC dermatologists and dermatology residents. All other podiatrists, nurses, nurse practitioners, residents, students, and greater Hartford dermatologists are encouraged to attend.

Objectives: Participants will (be able to):

a. Recite the evidence or expert opinion concerning the strategies for low dose or high dose isotretinoin. b. Identify one or more barriers to implementing effective use of medical marijuana in dermatology practice. c. Describe one or more strategies to overcome treatment bias with respect to elderly patients.

Accreditation: The University of Connecticut School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The University of Connecticut School of Medicine designates this live educational activity for a maximum of 4 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
