How The Fine-Structure Constant Correlates Particle Masses and Lifetimes

A new dimensionless "quantum leap" involving only the well-known dimensionless fine-structure constant "alpha" whose inverse is 137.036000 is presented [1]. With it, elementary-particle masses spanning eight orders-of-magnitude, and lifetimes spanning 28 orders, can be correlated. What this might suggest for an as yet unknown new, more complete theory is discussed.
