Slutwalk: A March to End Victim Blaming

Friday, September 26, 2014
4:00pm – 7:30pm

Storrs Campus
Fairfield Way

This is an event to raise awareness about the prevalence of rape and victim blaming in our community and society, as well as stand in solidarity with victim-survivors. The event starts with a march around campus, where we chant phrases such as "A dress is not a yes" and "End the silence, stop the violence". We then stop on Fairfield Way for a student speak-out. Many victims come up to speak about their experiences. We convene in the Women's Center (SU 4th floor) after the speak-out for a discussion and refreshments.

Attending this event counts towards Sophomore Honors.
