To apply, applicants should send me a resume and cover letter and fill out the online application: International Coastal Cleanup Saturday, September 20, 2014 The International Coastal Cleanup is a global event in which volunteers all over the world remove trash from the shores and document what they find. The data is compiled and published in an annual report on marine debris by the Ocean Conservancy. Policymakers use the information to raise awareness about marine debris and reduce the problem at the source. Save The Bay, the Rhode Island State Coordinator, invites you to participate! On average, more than 2,000 volunteers participate annually in the Rhode Island ICC at more than 80 sites, typically removing about 20,000 pounds of trash and debris. SIGN UP for a cleanup near you on our registration page! There are locations all over the state. You can also view our site list , which has additional detail on each location. For more information, or if you are interested in leading a cleanup, contact Volunteer Manager July Lewis.
