Healing the Palestinian-Israeli Conflict

Wednesday, October 1, 2014
7:00pm – 8:30pm

Storrs Campus
McMahon Learning Community Lounge

The recent conflict in Gaza between the Israeli army and Hamas is but the latest manifestation of a long and apparently intractable struggle in this region that dates from the founding of the State of Israel in 1948. Both Israeli and Palestinian people deserve to live in security with full access to economic and political opportunities and this forum will explore means to that end. Our panel will be led and moderated by Jeremy Pressman, Associate Professor of Political Science and Director of Middle East Studies here at UConn. He will be joined by Yehezkel Landau, Associate Professor of Interfaith Relations at the Hartford Seminary and Adam Antar ,a recent graduate of the UConn International Studies MA program. Adam is the founder of UConn Students for Justice in Palestine.
