Language Fest

Saturday, April 25, 2015
9:00am – 4:00pm

Storrs Campus
Oak Hall 101

The UConn Language Fest is a University-wide research conference, now in its fourth year, which showcases the many facets of research on language in the UConn community. Last year's Fest drew participation across many departments and programs, including Psychology, Education, Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences, Linguistics, Literature, Cultures and Languages, and Haskins Laboratories. The day will include talks from three visitors known for their research on language and language disorders. In addition to these talks, three poster sessions will present language-related research from the UConn community (See for details closer to the event and/or to submit a poster proposal). This is a great opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students, postdocs and faculty to share their research with the UConn language community. You can use a poster from a recent or upcoming conference, or design one for the fest. Completed work, published work, and works-in-progress are all welcome. Undergraduate Honors Projects, or SHARE or SURF-sponsored research are also welcome. Please keep in mind that you will have a diverse audience at the fest, and you should be prepared to explain the 'big picture' motivating your work for people from different disciplines.

Attending this event counts towards Sophomore Honors.
