TEDxUConn: Deconstructing Humanity

Saturday, April 11, 2015
10:00am – 5:00pm

Storrs Campus
Laurel Hall

What is it that makes each of us human? Where do people lie on the spectrum between selfish survival and selfless compassion? TEDxUConn: Deconstructing Humanity will seek to explore this spectrum through a wide variety of talks discussing topics under Human Rights such as health, poverty, education, and gender. This conference will attempt to acknowledge the beauty, brutality, and empathy embodied by mankind.

Deconstructing Humanity is an independently organized TED event. The event will feature talks from UConn faculty as well as individuals from outside organizations. The event will also feature several UConn student speakers.

Registration for the event is closed, but we will be hosting a live stream of the event in the Homer Babbidge Library, Video Theater Two. No prior registration is needed to attend the live stream. There will be two streaming sessions:

9:30 am - 12 pm: Session 1

2 - 4 pm: Session 2

Attending the event or the live stream counts towards Sophomore Honors.
