Getting Money Savvy Workshop

American Job Center, Hamden

Why is it important to save money? How can I reach my financial goals? What can I do to avoid fraud and protect my money? These questions and more will be answered in a lively and informative workshop. You will learn about your money personality and relationship with money as well as techniques that can help save money and overcome barriers to reaching your goals. Important tips on how to avoid identity theft and common banking scams, and minimize your risk of becoming a victim will be discussed. The workshop will be held Tuesday, February 24th from 9:30 am to 11:30 am at the American Job Center, 37 Marne Street in Hamden. Kathleen Titsworth, Banking Education Coordinator with the Connecticut Department of Banking and Faye Griffiths-Smith, Family Finance Educator with UConn Extension will be the presenters.
