"Dismantling Urban Racism" a spring luncheon event sponsored by the Urban and Community Studies. Keynote speaker, Prof. Khalilah Brown-Dean will discuss "Beyond Racism in Our Many Fergusons: Punishment and the Justice Imperative." A Community Panel will follow, moderated by Prof. Noel A. Cazenave from the Dept. of Sociology. Panelist include, Robert Cotto from the Urban Education Initiatives at Trinity College, Regina Dyton from the Children's Advocacy Center at St. Francis Hospital, Tanya Hughes from the CT Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities, Martha McCoy from Everyday Democracy and Deborah Ullman from the Greater Hartford YWCA. All are welcome.
