Join UConn Extension for our spring seminar.

On Tuesday, April 28th, Dr. Cathleen Love of UConn Extension will be presenting the work on the “People Empowering People” program with Dr. Anne Farrell and Hyanghee Lee from the Center for Applied Research in Human Development. UConn PEP began with a Children, Youth and Families At-Risk State Strengthening Grant in 1996. The mission for the program is to provide parents the life and leadership skills to make their community a better place for themselves and their children. UConn PEP was developed and administered by Extension Educator Cheryl Czuba until her retirement in 2012. UConn PEP parents attend ten 2 hour training sessions offed by a trained facilitator and conclude with weekly support sessions to work on projects that benefit the community. The program has been offered in over 60 cities and towns in Connecticut.
