Please join us for our next Geoscience Seminar Series on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 12:30pm in Beach Hall Room 233. Bradley Hacker from UC-Santa Barbara, will be presenting “Continental Differentiation by Relamination”.

Bradley R. Hacker is a Professor of Earth Science at the University of Calfornia, Santa Barbara’s Earth Research Institute. He received his BS and MS in Geology from UC Davis in 1982 and 1984. He completed his doctorate in Geology at UCLA in 1988. He then spent eight years as a postdoctoral scholar and research associate at Stanford University, and as a geologist for the US Geological Survey. He joined the UCSB faculty in 1996. Dr. Hacker is a Fellow of the American Geophysical Union, the Geological Society of America, the Mineralogical Society of America, and the Cave Research Foundation. He, his students, postdocs, and affiliated researchers are funded by the National Science Foundation to work on exciting field, laboratory, and theoretical studies of tectonics. Details here:
