We Will Not Forget, Will You?

Thursday, April 2, 2015
6:00pm – 8:00pm

Storrs Campus
Austin 108

In the first half of the 20th century the world learned how language can breed fear, fear can breed hate and hate can breed unthinkable acts of inhumanity. In the years after the end of the Holocaust our country, and the world, pledged that they would never forget the things that happend to over 6 million people. Today, we can look to our history and see great strides made by those that have faught for tolerance and civil rights in the past century and yet we live in a society of microagressions, small things said or done that collectivly create a climate of intolerance. Join Sigma Phi Epsilon and Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternities, UConn Hillel, the UConn Judaic Studies Department, the Pan-Asia Council, the Shipley RA Staff, and RAs for Social Justice in welcoming two survivors of the Holocaust, Anita Schorr and Agnes Vertes, as they remind us the true powers of the words and symbols we use and perpetuate. Please contact Jacob A Griffith Gardner at for more information.
