Rebuilding Neighborhoods: Internship & Careers in Community Improvement

Join Urban and Community Studies to learn about exciting opportunities to work with local organizations!

Our guests include: Kevin Taylor - Executive Director Neighborhood Housing Services, a HUD approved not for profit housing agency located in Waterbury, CT, working to provide neighborhood assistance in the North End.

Nancy MacMillan—Executive Director Loyola Development Corporation, a not-for-profit organization established to prevent and eliminate neighborhood deterioration in the South End of Waterbury.

Ken Galdston— Director and Lead Organizer Naugatuck Valley Project, a regional organization of religious congregations and labor, tenant and small business organizations focused on giving a voice to low and moderate income communities.

Adele DeFrancesco—Associate, Main Street Waterbury, a downtown management and revitalization program that uses historic preservation to economically rejuvenate Waterbury’s downtown.
