Pharmacy Lunch & Learn Series: Science Track

Wednesday, April 22, 2015
12:00pm – 1:00pm

Storrs Campus
PBB - 4th floor Atrium

Throughout history, pharmacists have made many important scientific discoveries. For example, did you know that pharmacist Friedrich Sertürner was the first scientist to isolate an alkaloid (morphine) from a plant? This rich tradition of scientific discovery also extends into modern pharmacy, with many pharmacists choosing to pursue careers at pharmaceutical companies or pursue further education in the form of a scientific graduate program. If you are considering one of these career options, or if you just have a passion for science, this track may be for you. Please join us as Dr. Andrew Weimer introduces the Science Track as a new curricular option.
