Legislative Forum Highlighting CK3LI

UConn's Center for Behavioral Education Research (CBER) within the Neag School of Education is working with the Black and Puerto Rican Caucus of the Connecticut General Assembly and the Commission on Children to host a legislative forum on the state’s comprehensive reading plan on Tuesday, April 21.

One of the forum's highlights will be Connecticut's K-3 Literacy Initiative (CK3LI), an effort coordinated by CBER. Through the CK3LI, the Neag School of Education has been working with 20 schools across the state in an effort to improve literacy among children in kindergarten through third grade. CK3LI launched in 2012.

Who: The forum will bring together teachers, school leaders, parents, scholars, and reading experts to discuss assessment methods, community partnerships, and more.

When: 1-3 p.m., Tuesday, April 21, 2015
