Vampire Folk Belief in Historic New England

Saturday, October 31, 2015
10:00am – 11:00am

Jewett City

In 1990 a couple of very surprised young boys discovered two skulls at the site of a new gravel quarry in eastern Connecticut. Dr. Nick Bellantoni and others were called in to investigate what turned out to be a forgotten colonial family cemetery. One grave in particular caught their eye, connecting the burial to Vampire folklore and a real public health issue. This activity is part of the Last Green Valley National Heritage Corridor’s “Walktober.” Space is limited. Please register by mail or call the Museum to reserve your space.

Advance registration required. FREE for adults and children ages 12 and above.
