Roundtable: Pontecorvo's "Battle of Algiers" After 50 Years.

This roundtable is the focal point of a special series of screenings and events in commemoration of the fifty years of success, fame and notoriety achieved by Pontecorvo’s masterpiece film “The Battle of Algiers” on the Algerian anti-colonial resistance struggle, as well as the tenth anniversary of the director’s passing.

These events are organized by UConn’s program in Italian Literary and Cultural Studies in collaboration with Film Studies, French Studies and Comparative Literary and Cultural Studies.
