"Exploring STEM Careers You’ve Never Considered"

John Bau, Center for Career Development

Engineer, Doctor, Crime Scene Investigator - is that all there is? Most STEM students don’t even know what jobs are out there – beyond what they’ve seen on TV. Join Consultant John Bau from the UConn Center for Career Development as he brings his 15+ years of experience of working with STEM professionals to this session aimed at opening your eyes to career pathways you didn’t even know existed. Recommended pre-work: 1. Complete the “Quick Profile” in the Center for Career Development’s HuskyCareerPrep to gain insights into your ways your STEM interests can be explored: http://huskycareerprep.uconn.edu 2. Create a LinkedIn account. You need not develop a full profile yet, but – if you wish - tips can be found on the CCD website: http://career.uconn.edu/wp-content/uploads/sites/7/2015/01/JB-LinkIn-Job-Search_AC1.pdf

Attending this event counts toward Sophomore Honors.
