Teacher-Consultant Writing Contest deadline

We're writing to announce this year's Teacher-Consultant Writing Contest for publication in Teacher-Writer magazine:

This contest is open to all Teacher-Consultants who have completed a four-week Summer Institute with the Connecticut Writing Project—Storrs, in any year.

A $100 prize will be awarded in each of the following categories:

Poetry Prose—Fiction Prose—Non-Fiction

Award recipients’ work will be published in print and on the CWP website. Honorable mentions will also be published.

The submission deadline is Monday, September 26, 2016. Please limit submissions to six poems and two prose pieces per category. Electronic submissions are preferred; please send to

Contest winners will be recognized at the Aetna Awards Night, October 27, 2016, along with undergraduate and graduate student writing contest winners.
