Join the UConn Department of Educational Leadership's Sport Management program for an ongoing speaker series — Beyond the Field: Social Issues in Sports.

The series' first featured speaker will be Sarah K. Fields, associate professor and acting associate dean for University of Colorado-Denver's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. She is the author of Female Gladiators: Gender, Law, and Contact Sport in America, and Game Faces: Sport Celebrity and the Laws of Reputation.

Her work focuses primarily on the intersection of gender, race, sexuality, and law as it pertains to athletes and sports personalities.
