Summer Business in London Info Session

Go Global with UConn Business in London! Through intensive internships and coursework, UConn Business & Economics in London offers business and economics majors the chance to work in one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world, get academic credit, and engage with critical global issues both inside and outside the classroom.

Students will receive 4 credits for NRE 3305: African Field Ecology & Renewable Resource Management and 1 credit for NRE 3693 Foreign Study (4 credits for the spring semester and 1 credit for the summer).

Students will take at least six credits during this program. There are no prerequisites. Students who have earned junior standing with 54 or more credits are required to enroll in the following class: BLAW 4893: Foreign Study: The Law and Ethics of Global Commerce (3 credits). Students who have earned sophomore standing with 24 or more credits are required to enroll in BADM 2893: Foreign Study: The Law and Ethics of Global Commerce (3 credits).

Students will also take:

2 credits: BADM 4891 Field Study Internship – graded S/U

1 credit: BADM 2893: Internship-Research Paper

In addition, a three credit elective course will be available from the regular UConn in London course offerings such as COMM 3400 Mass Media and Political Process, POLS 3993 Foreign Study: New Media, Politics and Society, ENGL 3503 Shakespeare I, ENGL 3505 Shakespeare II, or HIST 3993 Foreign Study: London’s Global Geographies.

This program fulfills an Honors Core requirement in the honors program, and is open to both business and non-business students, as well as honors and non-honors students.
