MPMS-UConn is an exciting and confidential haven for minority men and women of the GLBT community. The group will offer a combination of discussions, activities, and events.
All of MPMS Events will occur on Wednesday Nights from 8-9:30pm except our event on 4/26/17 this will be from 7-9pm.
My Pride My Soul Semester’s Events and Meetings: 2/8/17 – First event of the semester “Don’t Just Wing IT!” (How we can use other cultural centers as resources)
2/15/17- Black History Historic LGBTQ Leaders of color
2/22/17- Valentine’s Day! The difficulties of celebrating holidays
3/1/17- Intersectionality between race and gender and sexuality for “men and women”
3/8/17 – Coping with Sexuality and home life
3/22/17- Dismantling intersectional stereotypes
3/29/17- Declaring Sexuality as a part of who we are
4/5/17- Ways to get involved with multiple communities 4/12/17 MPMS Second Event – Prideful Pot Luck! Partnered with Blue Crew
4/19/17- Pride in the workplace
4/26/17 – MPMS Semester Conclusion – Plans for the summer and recap of the semester/ what we look forward too next semester

Note to students with class assignments:
At this time, Among Men, Between Women, DARTS, Rainbow Graduates and Young Professionals, My Pride/My Soul, Out of the Box, Shades of Grey, Transparency, and the LGBT Faculty/Staff group are closed to students seeking to observe or “experience” a different minority group for assignments in classes such as First Year Experience and others or to conduct research.
