Stamford Campus
Art Gallery

On February 19, 1942, President Roosevelt signed Executive Order 9066, which led to the incarceration of over 120,000 Japanese American civilians for no other reason than their ethnicity. To mark this anniversary and commemorate Presidents' Day, HDFS Professor Michael Ego will discuss his family legacy as the son of an American-born internee, and the significance of history for our own political moment. English Professor Fred Roden, who studies memory and human rights, will interview Professor Ego and facilitate audience questions.
