Professsor Juergen Wertheimer (University of Tuebingen, Germany): "The Cassandra Syndrome: Reflections on Literature, Confidence, and Power"

What role can literature play in a world that is increasingly perceived as post-truth? Juergen Wertheimer explores literary texts as social and political seismographs and considers the weight and impact of language, voice, and words in literature and public discourse today.
