Former NFL athlete, Wade Davis, will discuss the intersections of race, sexuality, and gender, and explore how traditional messages about masculinity contribute to homophobia and rape culture.

Davis is a thought leader, writer, public speaker, and educator dedicated to using his platforms and social currency to highlight issues that directly impact women and members of the LGBT community. In 2014, he became the NFL’s first ever Diversity & Inclusion consultant and more recently partnered with the Ms. Foundation and Ebony Magazine to launch the #BlackMenAndFeminism campaign. Davis is a frequent guest on MSNBC, BBC, NPR, CNN, ESPN, and BET and his writing has been featured in media outlets including the Los Angeles Times, the Advocate, Huffington Post, the New York Times, Ebony, the Guardian, and the White House Blog.
