Runs from June 5 through July, 13, 2017.
Excerpt from Artist Statement...
My work is about pattern and memory. I reduce landscapes into simple forms in order to establish a sense of identity, exploring the way that visual patterns can provide a common thread for our existence within today's data-driven culture. By depicting my own memories, I consider the role that women have traditionally played in preserving shared memories - for instance, by passing down nursery rhymes, songs and stories. As my work evolves, it honors this community of women "memory-keepers."
