Summer Intersession 2017 NGS Workshop

The Center for Genome Innovation will be hosting two Illumina RNA-Seq workshops this June 2017. This workshop is laboratory-based and offers on-instrument training, taking participants through a NextGen sequencing experiment in real-time using a sample of your own!

• RNA-Seq Library Preparation and Sequencing on the Illumina NextSeq 500 Dates: June 2nd, 5th and 6th, from 9:30am - 5:00pm each day Location: Beach Hall, Room 204 Workshop Fee for UCONN members: $850.00

• RNA-Seq Library Preparation and Sequencing on the Illumina NextSeq 500 Dates: June 9th, 12th and 13th, from 9:30am - 5:00pm each day Location: Beach Hall, Room 204

Workshop Fee for UCONN members: $850.00 Topics Covered: Sample QC on the Agilent TapeStation 2200, Illumina TruSeq Stranded mRNA library preparation, qPCR and Qubit quantitation, Illumina NextSeq 500 sequencing (in addition to a broad overview of all NGS technologies) and high level bioinformatics/run performance analysis.

Space is limited to 10 participants per training and seats will be granted on a first come first served basis. Those who would like to enroll, or for more information about these trainings are asked to email Bo Reese (bo.reese@uconn.edu).

Please inquire about sample QC requirements for this workflow if you wish to bring a sample of your own.
