Five Ways to Cover Ground & Give the Lawnmower a Rest

Wednesday, January 17, 2018
10:00am – 12:00pm

Storrs Campus
Bartlett Arboretum, Stamford

Grassy lawns are the single most popular groundcover, but they are not always the best choice for a location or the easiest to maintain. Old Saybrook landscape designer Kathy Connolly offers alternative strategies for covering ground. She explores low-growing, durable groundcovers, which include native ornamental grasses, flowering perennials, low-mow lawn mixes, sedum, ferns, moss, and more. An extensive handout accompanies the session. Registration closes 1/19/2018 and the class costs $50 for non-master gardeners.(S18/10)
