Hazard Communication: Right to Understand

INTENDED AUDIENCE: Any University employee working in a non-laboratory setting (training for laboratory employees is available through the Chemical Safety Section). OSHA requires that employers provide employees with information and training on hazardous chemicals in their workplaces.

COURSE DESCRIPTION: Note: Generally, this program does NOT cover office workers or other employee groups whose jobs are not likely to involve chemical handling or use. Content of this course includes the new labeling and Safety Data Sheet requirements under the New Hazard Communication Standard which aligns with the UN's Global Harmonizing Standard.
