Interested in becoming a Holster Scholar? There's still time!

The Holster Scholar program seeks to encourage and develop the energy and curiosity of first-year Honors students by providing the resources necessary to enact their own discoveries and pursue their passions beyond the classroom. To this end, Holster Scholars receive $4,000 in support to complete original research or creative projects during the summer following their first year. Projects are student initiated, but are conducted under the guidance of a faculty mentor.

Entering its eighth year, Holster Scholars have already gone on to win numerous prestigious, nationally-competitive scholarships and fellowships, including the Truman, Mitchell, Udall, and Goldwater Scholarships, NSF Graduate Research Fellowships, and various grants, scholarships and fellowships awarded through the Fulbright U.S. Student Program.
