Speaker: Justin Radolf, MD Professor of Medicine Genetics and Developmental Biology UCONN Health Title: Syphilis, A Centuries Old Affliction: Is This the Beginning of the End?

Learning Objectives: Participants will (be able to):

1. Explain the natural history of syphilis and how it relates to clinical manifestations. 2. Discuss the newer diagnostic techniques for syphilis. 3. Describe the vaccine–based approaches for the control of syphilis.

Target Audience: The Department of Medicine faculty, housestaff and students, though many topics will be of interest to housestaff, students and other faculty members within the University of CT School of Medicine and Dental Medicine.

Accreditation: The University of Connecticut School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The University of Connecticut School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
