First Principle Calculation of PDFs from LaMET

Parton distribution functions (PDFs) are important quantities describing the probability densities of constituents of hadrons and serve as key inputs in high energy experiments. PDFs, with their nonperturbative nature and intrinsic Minkowski time dependence, can only obtain from phenomenological global fits for decades. A breakthrough came with the Large Momentum Effective Theory (LaMET), which allows us to extract PDFs on the lattice. In this talk, I will introduce the framework of LaMET, then give a lattice simulation example to demonstrate how it works.
