TITLE: “Esketamine: A New Paradigm for Treatment-Resistant Depression”

Speaker: Andrew Winokur, M.D., Ph.D., Professor of Psychiatry, UConn Health

Learning Objectives: Participants will (be able to):

1. Identify the basis for classifying a patient as having treatment-resistant depression. 2. Summarize the rationale for developing Esketamine for treatment-resistant depression. 3. Evaluate the evidence supporting the efficacy of Esketamine for treatment-resistant depression and describe the most prevalent and important adverse effects associated with Esketamine treatment.

Target Audience: Health Center faculty, residents, medical students, and other mental health professionals.
