Target Audience: The Department of Medicine faculty, housestaff and students, though many topics will be of interest to housestaff, students and other faculty members within the University of CT Schools of Medicine and Dental Medicine..

Learning Objectives: Participants will (be able to):

1. Describe the interactions between increasing longevity of disease and disability at the end of life 2. Discuss several medical interventions which increase life expectancy. 3. Explain several interventions which decrease disability at the end of life.

Accreditation: The University of Connecticut School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The University of Connecticut School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
