Urology Post Graduate Education Program “The role and extent of lymphadenectomy in bladder and upper tract urothelial carcinoma: does it confer a survival benefit?”

Speaker: Dr. Benjamin Ristau Date: Sept. 26, 2019 Time: 7:30am to 8:30am Location: UCHC 7th floor Outpatient Pavilion East Conference Room Target Audience: Faculty, Residents, and Staff: Departments of Surgery.

Learning Objectives: Participants will (be able to): 1. Identify the nodal drainage basins for bladder, renal pelvic, mid ureteral, and distal urothelial carcinomas 2. Comprehend the only randomized controlled trial for lymphadenectomy in urothelial carcinoma 3. Review the debate between more accurate staging versus a true survival benefit conferred by lymphadenectomy Accreditation: The University of Connecticut School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
