Dr. Nehama Aschkenasy Lecture - Founder of former Center for Judaic & Middle Eastern Studies at UConn Stamford

Dr. Nehama Aschkenasy, Professor Emerita and founder of the former Center for Judaic and Middle Eastern Studies, will lecture on the legacies of the recently deceased Israeli writers Aharon Appelfeld and Amos Oz. In both cases, she will speak to the balance between the history of European persecution, including anti-Semitism and the Holocaust, and the founding of a Jewish state.
