The University of Connecticut's Leadership Legacy Experience is pleased to host Adam Alter for a lecture on behavioral addiction and how we direct, reclaim, and command attention in an era of irresistible products and experiences. Adam Alter is the New York Times bestselling author of two books and an Associate Professor of Marketing and Psychology at New York University's Stem School of Business. Alter's most recent book, IRRESISTIBLE, examines why fifty percent of the population is addicted to at least one tech-driven behavior, like checking email and social media, playing video games, and gambling. His first book, DRUNK TANK PINK, explores how subtle forces around us, including weather conditions and colors, influence how we think, feel, and behave.
