online

The UConn Department of Public Policy is offering two online short courses in Survey Analysis; one provides instruction in Stata and the other in R. Students will manage a data set, define missing values, and create new variables. Students will also run frequency tables, crosstabs, conduct chi-square-tests, and build scales assessing Cronbach’s alpha. Further, we will compare means using t-tests and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). Interested students may also obtain instructional material on how to specify OLS regression models for continuous dependent variables, and/or how to specify logit models for categorical dependent variables (dichotomous logit, ordered logit, and multinomial logit).
