Driven and Undriven Condensed Matter and Dynamical Stability

Fascinating changes in electronic properties such as topological and other phase transitions of condensed matter systems can be realized by periodically driving them using external fields. In addition to standard static approaches, Floquet-Bloch theory-based calculations can reveal interesting signatures pertaining to above transitions. This talk will focus on several organic materials and simple systems with many-body interactions that are driven by external fields. By periodically driving electronic states of such systems, we obtain numerical solutions to several one- and many-electron properties such as band gaps, currents, change and spin gaps.
