Target Audience: Nephrologists throughout Connecticut Medical Housestaff/Residents rotating through Nephrology services in Hartford Hospital, St. Francis Hospital, The Hospital of Central Connecticut and the University of CT Health Center

Learning Objectives: Participants will (be able to):

1. Highlight morphological and physiological changes in kidneys with old age and how to dose medications in elderly patient with kidney disease. 2. Present nephron-centric view on progressive nephropathies with focus on elderly patients. 3. Summarize physiological hallmark of kidney aging and salt and water handling.

Accreditation: The University of Connecticut School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
